Ents Posters from late 1960’s
Phil Johnson (QEC B.Sc. Biology 1967-70) has been in touch following reading Kevin Moran’s article in Envoy 2023 (pp50-51; see also the QEC football team photo below); Phil was on the same degree course as Kevin.
Phil was prompted to dig out some Ents posters he has from his time at QEC. The poster on the left is for November 1968 and is for, and to quote Phil
‘..entertainment to accompany Rag Week, which was always a great social activity and charity raising event. Amongst these I can remember: three-legged pub crawl along the Kings Rd., charity collection along Park Lane and its residences, hotels and establishments and an attempt to capture the mascot (a dalek) of Imperial College School of Mines.’
The poster on the right is for an event in February 1969. You’ll note the psychedelic slant to both designs – which to me definitely says 1960’s!
And The Yes, appearing at QEC on 15th Feb 1969 is the Prog Rock band YES (see Wikipedia and The Concert Database for confirmation).

1967 – 60 Cohort
We believe the following images are from the QEC 1967-70 Cohort, who met up in Basingstoke in the summer of 2019. The images first appeared on the QEC facebook page. Ann Powley , who posted them, is happy to share them here on the QE(K)A website.
